Maintain, enhance, and rehabilitate self-sustaining populations of walleye and their habitat over their historical range

Lake Superior continues to maintain a number of self-sustaining walleye populations across their range, however, several stocks are in the process of rehabilitation. Some stocks (e.g. St. Louis River estuary) have seen increases in recruitment during the reporting period. Abundance indices, while inconsistent, suggest that adult abundance was relatively stable during the reporting period.
